How to split profits between partners without arguing about fifty-fifty

The homepage showed you the problem and the calculator. What sits underneath them is here: why the four failures of fifty-fifty belong to the method rather than to the partners, how the calculation works step by step, and what transparency buys once it is in place.

Notice: none of these is a problem with the partnership itself. They all come from the method - half and half no matter what, with no relation to what actually happened. The complexity doesn't come from the partners. It comes from the arbitrary split.

So why not simply calculate it?

That's exactly what 1💗1 does. Instead of agreeing up front on an arbitrary number, the system counts what each partner actually gave - and what each partner takes home follows from that.

1

What you gave

Work hours, money and equipment - every contribution is recorded, with everyone's agreement, the moment it happens. Not from memory at the end of the year. Marketing enters the same way: the ad spend is a resource, the hours with customers are a mission.

2

What it's worth

Every contribution is translated into an agreed value, and your share of the Rikma updates itself. It is a living calculation - not an agreement frozen on day one.

3

What you take home

When money comes in, the split is already computed from what really happened. No arguing, no gut feelings, no whoever-shouts-loudest.

(time + money + equipment + know-how) you gave = your % of the profit

Transparency

Every hour, every coin and every piece of equipment is visible to all partners in real time. There's nothing to argue about when everyone sees the same board.

Fairness

Whoever gave more gets more - and whoever gave less for a while owes nobody an apology. What's agreed up front is the rule, not the number.

Precision

No 'roughly', no eyeballing. A percentage derived from data every partner approved, one item at a time.

Growth

When the math is transparent, adding a fourth or a tenth partner takes a minute - no reopening negotiations. More partners = less load on each one, not more complexity.

Decisions by agreement

The same transparency runs the decisions themselves. A budget, a price, adding a partner, a profit split - each one goes to a vote every partner can see, and everyone has a voice. And there is no "no" button: you can approve, open a conversation about it, or counter with a more precise version that goes back to the vote - until everyone signs the same one. Every vote has an agreed decision window, and whoever has not responded by the time it closes has their silence counted as consent, so the proposal passes. That way the rikma never stalls on one person who forgot to answer - and nobody gets steamrolled by a majority either.

And on top of that - a million business tools in one package: tasks, kanban, Gantt, timers, shifts, sales, decisions and votes, a Telegram bot and an AI assistant. It all runs on the same data that feeds the calculation, so you manage once and get both the management and a fair split.

Now on your own numbers

The same calculation that runs on real rikma data. Change the hours, the investments and the sales, and watch what it does to the comparison against fifty-fifty.

Try it: what would happen in yours?

These are sample numbers from one Rikma - an online import-and-sell venture. Change any line and see immediately what each partner takes home, against an equal split.

$9,883

Missions done

Missions done

Time is measured by the system timer and recorded to the minute - 15:25 means 15 hours and 25 minutes, not "roughly a working day".

What the Rikma sold

$ × sold $10,680
$ × sold $6,705
$ × sold $1,500
Total revenue: $18,885
Alex 64.9%
By what you gave: $12,259 By an equal split: $9,443 +$2,817
Sam 35.1%
By what you gave: $6,626 By an equal split: $9,443 -$2,817

Same work, same money - just a split that matches what actually happened.

This is exactly the formula the system runs: the value you gave divided by the value everyone gave. In a real Rikma every line like this is recorded and approved by the partners - nothing is typed in by hand.

What partnerships ask before they move their books

We are already fifty-fifty partners. Can we switch without reopening everything?

Yes. You can start logging from today onward without touching history - the calculation covers the period you started from. And if you want to bring the past in, you can enter it as prior contributions, provided every partner approves them.

What about contributions that are hard to measure - contacts, reputation, the idea?

They enter like any other contribution: someone proposes a value, and the partners either approve it or propose a different one. The system does not decide what a contact is worth - it only makes sure the number is agreed and recorded rather than an argument that returns every quarter.

Is this legally binding on us?

The system runs the consent and the arithmetic; it does not replace a legal agreement. Many partnerships use it precisely to work out what to put in one - because for the first time there are agreed numbers to write down.

Ready to start measuring?

You can open a rikma and invite your partners in a few minutes. Logging starts with the next hour, not the next month.
